Behind every book we publish is a network of producers who share our dedication to sustainability and social responsibility. We work closely with printing facilities and manufacturers to uphold the highest standards across labour practices, environmental stewardship, and innovation.
Our producers are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct, which emphasizes ethical practices, fair labour conditions, and the elimination of forced or child labour. In high-risk regions, suppliers undergo third-party social audits, and we occasionally conduct on-site visits to assess compliance.
Environmentally, we collaborate with producers to improve their energy efficiency, adopt renewable energy, and reduce waste. Printing facilities in our network are encouraged to implement ISO-certified management systems, ensuring robust oversight of emissions, water use, and hazardous materials.
At Bonnier Books, we also value innovation and shared responsibility. We work with our producers to continuously improve sustainability practices. This collaboration has enabled us to reduce emissions per book, phase out high-impact materials, and integrate renewable electricity into production processes.
By prioritizing suppliers who demonstrate leadership in environmental and social sustainability, we not only reduce our impact but also drive systemic change across the industry.
